Bad Art/Good Art
This... This is bad art. This is my newest painting... Judge me nicely, please. I hardly ever paint, but I got this insane itch to do some work this past weekend, and money has been a little better...so I bought some cheap canvas and a new bottle of violet colored paint, and this is what came out.
No...There's not a title, but I don't think it really need a title. I think if I were to title it, it would be something like Mother's Connection or something. But that's an 'if' statement.
I feel like I'm not posting up enough news, but there's very little news that I haven't gone over before time and time again. The same set of hypocritical congressman are still having their media whirlwind affairs, yet are making sure that healthcare reform is stalled and civil rights stunted. The same battles are still being fought for equality and reform and newness, and they're still in the middle-ground of being lost and won. So, without any endings to report, without any final decisions on anything, I am bereft and without news stories. Given that, on to some good art.
One of my favorite songs of all time is 'That I would be good' by Alanis Morissette. Alanis is unbelievably amazing, and I have all of her albums. If you don't yet, please go do so now. You'll thank yourself later. Well, another of my favorite singers, Kelly Clarkson, has done a cover/mash-up of 'That I would be good' and 'Use Somebody' by Kings of Leon that is undeniably gorgeous. It is stirring and almost haunting. Below is the fabulous video proving, yet again, that real talent does exist in the current music market.
Love and Lyte,
