In 2010, it took place in Chicago, IL during the month of October. In 2011, we've chosen to have the Supermoot in Salem, Massachusetts. That's right! You finally have a very good excuse to go to Salem. The official date is the weekend of September 17th. We'll probably be out and about Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th, with the majority of the public meet & greet happening Saturday. The Podkin will have some events and things on the 16th that will be solely for podcasters. (Sorry listeners, but we'd like time to geek out over one another, too!)
PaganPodkin.com will serve as the official list of podkin attending, those probably attending, any special guests we'll have, and where and when we'll be there. As we have several months before the big weekend, PaganPodkin.com will be updated periodically, possibly up until the weekend of PPSM2.
Quick Note: If you are an active podkin, and you have not gotten an invitation to the moot, PLEASE email IncitingARiotPodcast@gmail.com or Velma@WitchesBrewHaHa.com. For what makes an ACTIVE podkin, see the rules below. If your show meets the requirements, and we haven't gotten to you, email myself or Velma immediately, and do try and forgive us. Also, if you're a pagan business, author, or musician and would like to donate either swag, books, or cds, send us an email as well! We're looking to make this year's swag bags amazing!
Some Rules: To be considered an Active Podkin, there are some basic rules you need to follow.
- For New Podkin: Your show must have come out by January 2011 to be included in this year's group. You must keep to some form of regular schedule for at least 3 months and must continue to do so - for the most part - until the Supermoot. (Monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, it doesn't matter. As long as you more or less stick to it.) Basically, don't be one of those podcasts that starts strong with one or two good shows and then disappears for months or completely.
- For Established Podkin: You probably could have guessed it, but you can't have pod-faded in the last 3-6 months. If you have been putting out a show regularly and then disappear for 3 months or more and further do not return to some form of regular schedule within 6 months, sorry. But, that would mean you didn't podcast for the majority of 2010 and also are not included in this year's group. This also pertains to those that have not been podcasting for several months, put out one or two "update" shows, yet still do not return to some form of regularity within said time period.
